Sizing a Cut-to-fit Dress Belt
Some customers will want to cut their cut-to-fit dress belts to size themselves. Only a dull blade, a piece of scotch tape, and sharp pair of scissors are needed. A brief illustrated guide is below. Click the pictures for a larger view.
Step 1: Release buckle.
Slip a dull blade under the lever on the back of the buckle and pull it up. Remove the buckle.
Step 2: Mark cutting point.
Find a belt that fits you. Lay both your new and old belts side by side on a table. Line up the belt hole you use on the old belt with the center hole on the new belt. Mark the new belt at the buckle end of the old strap with a piece of tape.
Step 3: Cut strap.
Cut the new strap at the marked point with a good pair of scissors. Reattach the buckle.
