The actual length of these belts, not including the buckle, is 5 to 7 inches longer than the waist size in the chart. This allows for 2 inches of clothing and 3 to 5 inches overhang.

When in doubt, you should

include your requirements in the "Additional Information" box of the order form; we will comply if we can or let you know otherwise, or
contact us for an exact measurement of the belt, or
buy the longer size and cut to fit: the metal tip can be removed with a flat edge and reattached with a rubber mallet.

Example: the model in our pictures measured exactly 35 inches at the waist and is wearing size "M".
